About Coalville Care Home

Coalville Care Home is a nurse led Sub Specialist Dementia Unit, providing person centered care for up to 20 individuals living with Dementia who may express behaviours. Coalville Care Home is Registered with the Care Quality Commission.

We are situated close to Coalville Town Centre where residents & families can enjoy cafes, shops, libraries and parks. Additionally, we are at close proximity to Loughbourough and Leicester, offering plenty of shopping and activities.

Care & Support

At Coalville, we have an extrememly dedicated and experienced team who have a passion to support and deliver the highest standards of person centred care, carrying out individualised care plans. We value visitors and welcome you as part of the family. We offer a local GP, who carries out regular visits and digital reviews, as well as a visiting optician, chiropodist, and hairdresser.

Specialist Behavioural Unit- The Halcyon and Hestia Suites

At Coalville Care Home we have developed a diverse facility that not only meets health and physical care needs, but one that also nourishes, respects and supports social connections, individual identity and personal preferences and goals for service users.

These Sub-Specialist Units provide a highly specialised service for individuals who express behaviours due to the cognitive changes associated with their primary diagnosis. We aim to maintain privacy and dignity within a tranquil supportive and safe environment.

At Coalville we offer en-suite facility in all bedrooms as well as shower facilities.

All bedrooms furnished, however personalisation and own furnishings are always welcomed.

Facilities & Outdoor Spaces

We have spacious comfortable communal lounge and large dining areas with garden views. We also offer large adapted bathrooms and shower rooms, as well as lift access.

Home to a beautiful wheelchair accessible garden, peaceful seating areas, plus a summerhouse used for individual and group activities, as well as meaningful visits.

Our activities coordinator’s tailor activities on a daily basis to meet the needs and preferences of our residents.

All residents are welcomed and encouraged to share their life history, hobbies and interests to assist us to enhance person centred support and meaningful activity provision.

Options for both communal and individual dining. Food is freshly made and locally sourced with a varied and adaptable menu to suit individual preferences and needs

Registered Manager

I am Nurse Manager with a passion for delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care. I started my career as a nurse 2005 and progress to clinical lead to a nurse manager. In my role I provide leadership to care team, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care while supporting staff to develop their knowledge and skills and confidence. I believe good leadership is about being visible, approachable and supportive. I work closely with my team, listen to their ideas and encourage everyone to take responsibility/ accountability to maintaining high standard of care. I am passionate about leadership, continuous improvement and making positive differences in people's lives. My parents is my inspiration and taught me to continue to be respectful, treat everyone equally and give everyone opportunities to improve.

Lesley Tomlinson Administrator

Lesley joined the Rushcliffe Team in September 2023, she has over 30 years experience in Customer Service and Administration, more recently she worked for a medical device company liaising with the NHS and private individuals ordering and arranging installation of overhead hoists, mobile hoists and beds for hospital and home use.

Lesley enjoys supporting the Manager, Sally, the Nurses and Care Staff in the day to day running of the home. In the role of Administrator for Rushcliffe there is the usual customer service and administration side to the job but also there is the more personal side of getting to know the residents and their families and being available to support them too when needed.

Lesley said she has found the team at Coalville Care Home to be very welcoming, helpful and caring and look forward to coming to work
