Outstanding Care “ I had a placement for 4 weeks at this nursing home. At the start, I was anxious, but the staff made me feel comfortable. I received excellent medication administration support from the nurses. I did not feel judged at all for getting something wrong. I was especially impressed by the staff's care for all residents. Overall, I would like to thank you for making my placement enjoyable. ”

Student Placement Experience “ I did my first placement as a student nurse at Aaron’s Unit. Being my first placement, I was naturally nervous but the team helped me settle in nicely. I learnt a lot during my placement. The staff are very dedicated to the work and they provide safe and compassionate care. I recommend Aaron’s Unit for anyone looking for an excellent dementia care for their loved ones. ”

Opportunity “ I started working within the organisation as an Apprentice Administrator in one our care homes 6 years ago. Rushcliffe Care helped me achieve my Level 2 & 3 in Business and Administration and I was given the opportunity to progress as a Training Co-Ordinator. This has given me confidence as it was a route that I never knew I was able to achieve - working within the Training Centre is something I am now so passionate about. I love my job and I am always supported by my Manager and the rest of the Training Team. I am looking forward to my future within Rushcliffe Care. ”

Matthews Placement “ Thank you so much for my time on Matthews unit and for learning and explaining the different assets of nursing to me. You're very friendly, super motivated, and easily approachable which made it a good learning environment. You were also able to explain things in different ways if I didn't understand them in the first place. You showed me how to interact appropriately and respectfully with the service users, but also with the other members of staff and the MDT. It was a good experience and I received a lot of good energy, not only from you but from most people on Matthews unit. This will be an unforgettable experience for me and I really appreciate and enjoyed my time at Matthews. The only things I would have wanted to do were more assessments, admitting a patient, and making a care plan for a patient. This would be in the ideal situation and I feel like 7 weeks is a short period of time and we made the most of it. ”

Awesome Experience “ I want to thank all of the Aaron’s Unit nurses and support workers for the incredible job and assistance they have given me throughout my placement. I was impressed by the amount of knowledge they have within their area of expertise and I would specifically want to thank Kim and Luera for dedicating their time even while busy, to answer and explain different aspects of nursing process. I was so impressed by the fact that there was no case of bed sore which is a common occurrence in most care homes. I cannot forget the management team for good organisational and management skills. Well done to you all and keep up the good work. ”

Career Progression “ I love working at Rushcliffe care groups as they have given me the opportunity to progress within the company from a staff nurse to a manager of a specialist mental health unit. They have supported me in my journey and ensure I have enough provision to be able to complete my duties. I also love the unit I work on as I love working with people who need support and I have a great team of staff to ensure the residents are safe and as happy as possible. I feel listened to and that my opinion matters. The company have made me feel part of the team from day one. They supported me through some tough times in my private life which I will be forever grateful. ”
